Skills Assessment
The Shipley Skills Assessment method has been developed using best practices and APMP competency definitions. These have been designed to define the attitudes, values and, behaviours that deliver your company values. All participants will undergo an assessment of their operational and behavioural competencies.
Operational Competencies
Operational Competencies are often referred to as technical/ process task-driven skills or competencies. They mean the ability to perform some technical/process-driven task, such as developing a winning strategy or price-to-win effectively.
Behavioural Competencies
Behavioural Competencies are often called soft skills. They define not just the ability to do something, but ‘how’ it is done, the tasks or activities and, their outcomes, that are indicative of the desired behaviour. They also describe a way of doing things in relation to other people. Bid Managers who demonstrate these competencies have a higher level of confidence and a higher success rate.
Skills & Competencies
Participants will be provided access to answer three sets of questions to assess their skills and competencies.
The three sets consist of:
- Scenario-based questions
- Evidence-based questions
- Confidence and frequency-based questions
Participants will receive a link to the online questionnaire that consists of fields they need to answer through a multiple-choice option button. This should take around 45 minutes to complete.
